Music & Communication

I didn't want to write about any of the readings so I chose option #6 (talking about hobbies & what not).
I love listening and "trying" to create music either from other's beats or my own. Here are a couple of softwares that help me.

Fruity Loops is a beat making software.  The demo is very intensive and gives a lot of insite of what's to come if you upgrade and buy the actual version.  It is kinda complicated but once you play around with it and watch some helpful tutorials on youtube, it's great. In order to really benefit from this software, you have to buy it (the cheapest being $50.)

Audacity is a little different from beat making software.  It's more of like the recording studio itself. You can record, splice recordings and manage your song or edit pre-made songs that you import. This software is free (thank god) and works great! Very easy to use and you don't need "How To.." tutorials to help get you started.

From what I know, both of these softwares are compatible with Windows & Mac. I think this hobby ties in with communication & mass communication because music is a great way to express one's feelings and get it out to a broad audience.  Especially with the internet.
